planner sizes
A look at the stationery world and it becomes very clear: there are so many planner sizes out there, one can never list all of them. I have tried to do that and I know that I was not able to.
If you like to read and research different sizes kindly visit my blog post.

standard sizes of DIN:

DIN, the "Deutsche Industrie Norm" or " German Institut of Standardization" was founded in 1917 and is now a partner of industry, research and society.
One of the most well-known standards is that on the A-series of paper sizes, like A4, A5 or A6. This first internationally recognized standard paper size of A4 was first published in 1922.
(If you are interested to read more about DIN sizes, head over to the webpage of DIN, available in english and german).

The beauty of A-sizes: whenever you fold a paper in half, you will get the next size.
A4 folded in half = A5
A5 folded in half = A6
A6 folded in half = A7
(starting as big as A0, down to A10.

The same for B or C sizes.

Japan has a similar standard for their paper sizes (Japanese Industrial Standards organization JIS), with an A serie (JIS A) and B (JIS B).

So whenever you read about a planner in "A6 size" or in "B6 Japan size", then these sizes are normed and allover the world the same.
A6 = 105 x 148 mm
B6 Japan = 128 x 182 mm

BUT: just as a warning: some sellers of planners, mostly chinese ones, are selling "A6" but in reality the pages are "Personal size" (95x171 mm).
Always search for a page size whenever you order a planner or planner inserts, only then you can be sure to order the correct size.
